My stepson and I washed it and I told him to grab the keys and fire it up to get any water out of the pipes. I explained how the clutch worked and whatnot. (yeah yeah yeah leav it alone)
He fires it up it growls and he jumps letting his foot off of the clutch and away goes the car and stepson into the garage doorjam. Ive already got the front end for it and I know where there is a used 01 front fender just too damn cold to do anything. Trying to keep the insurance from having to touch it. The paint is the real killer, price wise.
My fault I shouldnt have done it but hell its over and done with. Time to move on. My bout of crying only lasted for 6 or 7 days.

hehehehe
I have to laugh and make fun of it or ill get pissed at myself again

:damnit: That sux. I guess "whatnot" must not have included nuetral. I bet it scared the hell out of your stepson. It's really not that bad (looking at the pics) though. A lot of it should buff out.

mounting bracket broken completely off of the back of the headlight, other bracket fractured... has to be replaced. I looked at the photos and it doest show the damage to be really bad but the fender is trashed buckled in beyond repair. Fender wll liner is buckled and wont retain its shape... has to be replaced. The front bumper is not real bad but will have to be replaced. The 3 pop rivet tabs that connect it to the frame are torn completely off. Ive got an 03 front end for it sitting in my garage, however it is black. The fender at the junk yard is in pristine condition 20 minutes rough time for it. I CANT PAINT WORTH A **** and Im not setting a bomb up in my garage hehehehehe.
I may not put the 03 Cobra front bumper on it. I may sell it and go with a Cobra R front end as Im going to put a Cobra R hood on it. I may just fix it and trade it in for an 04. Not exactly sure yet.
Its like driving around town with a black eye you know?

Ford gave me an estimate of $2200 to fix it all. I found that I can get everything cheaper than they can and I can do the labor minus the paint.
I found the front fender for 100.00 in the junkyard. When the dealership gave me the estimate for the parts and labor I looked at everything and noticed that the front fender id number matched the one from the junkyard on the one i found. I called the junkyard and they confirmed the dealership had called for a quote.
They were going to sell it to me for $175.00 pricks
