After buying a car that had a switch controlled fan, I'm ***ing screaming. Hopefully he has AC and forgets to turn on the fan on a hot day ... that certainly doesn't cost as much as a fan controller

The production numbers he quotes are for the 35th anniversary LIMITED EDITION GT mustangs, which, oddly enough all had V8's in them.

Can I get a Melvin trophy @Noobz347

Apparently that fellow shops at some fairly exotic grocery stores (big bags of dicks?). He must have a fairly voracious appetite for his namesake, hum....

Well, it's not just Fox bodies. There's a thread on one of the S197 forums from a guy whose key fob isn't working right. He argues that the battery can't be dead because it still starts the car (fob is connected to key). Eventually he tests the battery and decides it's not dead. How could it be, he reasons, all his other fobs lasted 8+ years and he never even knew they had batteries in them. I couldn't keep reading with any seriousness, but I think he bought a new key/fob before deciding to try replacing the battery.

I'm not flexible enough to kick myself in the nuts.

Every once in a while, a dude stops in here that at one point, completely coated the underside of his car with bearing grease. There's a thread about it somewhere around here.

i thought it was used motor oil? That's what they did to tractors and trucks back in the day as "rustproofing". Some guy actually coats the underside in GREASE? wtf

A few months back I was at work and had a lady ask me to help her break into her car. She had locked her keys inside but had called another friend to carry her home and retrieve her spare keys. When she got back to her car, she found that the battery to her keyless entry on her spare keys was dead.

It was clear that the two of them had a considerable amount of time tied up in trying to solve their problem. As she showed me that her keyless entry would not work, I simply asked her if she had tried the key. Needless to say they were both embarrased.

Joe
