outside brake pad

How does the outside pad of the granada/maverick caliper actually work.?

The caliper and the pad do not move only the inside pad is pushed via piston???

Can anyoen enlighten me

floating caliper, it moves when you apply the brakes so both pads grab the rotor.

how does the caliper move when it is fixed with spring and bolt?

it slides on the bolt, notice the bolt is not threaded except for the end.
