I'm about to have an '01 Cobra block machined for a build up and I have no idea by looking at the cyl walls to know whether they will need to be bored. If the cylinders need to be bored, will they do a .020 overbore? I'm guessing .030 wouldn't be needed unless the cylinders were really worn out? I don't know. If the cylinder walls aren't that worn, will they even have to bore them? If they only do a .020 overbore does that mean I will just have to run bigger rings or are there actually .020 over pistons (3.572)? This motor will be under about 15+ lbs of boost.
And also, what is the point of sleeving these aluminum blocks?
