overheating problems

Here's one for all the guys that are having overheating problems the stock computer turns on the fan waaaay too late on our cars and as our cars get older the hotter they want to run.If you put in a 180 thermostat and run this mod your car temp wont go over 195 if set correctly and if your car doesnt have anything major wrong with the cooling system .I have this on my cobra for the past 3 years with the stock radiator and then with the fluidyne it works awsome I only put the fluidyne because I plan to make big mods to the motor soon and extra cooling doesnt hurt keep in mind you use your stock fan and the high speed wire on your fan it will cool down quick believe me and use the recommended wire and you should be fine this is cheaper than getting a tune just to fix the fan problem this is if you have the stock electric fan or if you are planning to put one on

Not to be rude, but punctuation would help make that extremely long run-on sentence legible. The 94-95 Mustangs (V6 and V8 alike) both use a two-speed electric fan already, and the write-up in the link you provided would have no bearing on the aforementioned model years, as this is the original equipment fan on these cars. This should possibly be posted in 5.0 Tech since the Fox Mustangs still used a fan-clutch until 1993. Your Cobra would have had this system from the factory.

A much much better way to do it is to run a variable fan controller (a la DcControl.com ). THe unit absolutely rocks and makes the relays we use now look antiquated.

As Matt said, that article is very popular with the fox guys. They just use high speed on the fan.
