Another problem with the new motor. Ive put almost 400km on it and it has been great so far. The readings (oil pressure, temp, amps) have all been reading good up until today. The car is running hot now and is starting to come close to overheating. Im confused as to what it can be. The rad did not go down at all so there are no leaks. The waterpump is brand new, the thermostat is a new 180 degree one, the fan has a new clutch fan and the rad is relatively new. All of a sudden today it is running alot hotter. It just took like an hour to cool down. Where should I look?

When is it running hot? At idle, while driving on the highway, etc?

What temps are you seeing exactly (per an aftermarket gauge hopefully)?

Good luck.

drill a hole in the thermostat I bought a thermostat and installed it. Well my car was running hot like yours and everything was new pump ect. So I drill a hole in my old thermostat and intsalled it then it ran cooler. So I bought another one and its fine now.

I figured it out...It was just an air pocket in the system.

such a typical problem with these cars. You wouldn't think it would be so hard to burp them.
