Just had a question about what to do about my mustangs sagging suspension.. i have 245/45/r17 tires and was wondering if an inch drop would be too much, or a terrible ride quality..another thing is shocks and struts...i was leaning twords eldelbrocks but theres so many options i dont even know where to begin.. i wanted all new bushings but im on a limitied budget and think im just going to try to stick with the new springs/shocks/struts.. any opintions?

I guess it would depend on what you eventually want. Dropping it an inch should be OK. The standard "rule" is that if you drop it much more than an inch from the stock ride height, you will adversely effect handling. A lot of people have been using Bullitt Springs on their Fox bodies with good results.

Do you want to drastically improve handling (ie. for street or competition)?

Do you want to just firm up the ride?

Do you want to just replace the stock pieces with newer pieces?

Do you just want a lower stance?

Did you want to get into swapping control arms (rear)?

Some companies (brands) to look at would be:
• Maximum Motorsports (check their site - they have pretty good write ups and descriptions of their parts and the ones they offer)
• H&R Springs
• Eibach Springs
• Bilstein Shocks/Struts
• Tokico Shocks/Struts
• Steeda (springs)

Polyurethane spring insulators (Energy Suspension) would be a good idea since you're replacing stuff already.
