Last night on the HW coming home from work I see a silver Lightning (probably 03) driving down the middle lane, so I moved over to the left lane to see if he would try and run me, he didn't seem to have any interest in running me. about another mile down the road i was going down the middle lane and he was in the fast lane, as soon as I saw him coming I put it in to third at about 70-75mph and waited to see if he wanted to run, he hit it and so did I, we started even and he pulled to the point were the tailgate was even with my front fender, we shutdown at 100, It was the best run I have had in along time.

Now here is my question, how fast are these (13.5-14)? would I have done better has we went faster? His exhaust was really loud, almost louder than mine

well those things are supercharged so if u kept up with him, either he sucked at racing or wasnt trying. he cant suck at racing cuz those things are autos! just mash your foot down and let the supercharger do all the work.
i met a few lightning owners at the track last month and they were pushing 11-12's with their KB's and other stuff installed.

He was racing for sure, I could hear the truck screaming, I tought that a stock lightning ran mid 13's. they also weigh about 1000 lbs more than a mustang.

I'm sorry but lightnings are Bricks up top. My boy has an 04 w/ a CAI and I walk him hard up top. Now down low its a different story b/c my wheel hop comes into play then. So we are even down low.

Sorry but your a Geared Cobra with all the Bolt-ons (300+rwhp), not quite the same measuring stick as said GT with bolt-on's (250rwhp). Just cause you walk away from them up top doesn't make L's dogs.

Yes we might not be that aerodynamic, but I do beat alot of cars on the highway and took out an C5 with exhaust and intake last weekend.

Well I hope w/ a #4 lower and a 2.8 upper w/ intake and exhaust you beat a C5 vette!

FYI a lightining w/ those mods would beat me to.

Bricks up top is irrelevant...trap speed does not lie.

I have spanked many cars from a roll in my Lightning.

Time in sig with a 4lb lower, tune, cai and **** kit.
