i have had about 10 mustangs - all 65 or 66 coupes or fb. during the late 70's.
some damaged, others drive able, damaged ones got stripped to nothing an to the crusher.
1 got sold (coupe),
another rear ended while parked legally (sent to Junkyard after stripping all stuff) sold most of it- kept doors, fenders, hood, glass, frt an rear glass -- was a 65 fb- swapped the motor to a friend for his 289 HIPO that he thrown a rod , an then rebuilt it , yep i made out well
with proceeds from insurance of 65 fb getting rear ended - purchased a 66 GT fastback A code, run fine an was going to
swap in the HIPO if an when the A code engine went sour, never happened -- it got stolen in 1983 .
a few years later i picked up a roller 65 FB c code and got busy ,working , life stuff .. finally got out of west coast an got time now to work Tang - Hi po in , runs fine - 4 speed Borg Warner , put some K H frt discs on , has a long way to go ...
i had previously worked at Ford dealer and got as much stuff as what available back in 1980 , throw in some junkyard time finds
and hopefully will get on road this year ..
