Go here to see the car. Kinda confused about the description.

It says #001 of 300, which implies some sort of limited production car. What the heck is so special about it? Some sort of relation to the WWII fighter plane?

I did a search, and I couldn't find anything on here or corral.
Thanks!

I remember an issue of Motor Trend, or maybe Car and Driver, that had a comparison test of several "tuner" 94-95 Mustangs. One of them was called the P-51, I just don't remember who made it or any other details about it. In fact, I think it was a yellow convt that they tested.

I figured as much. Just thought I would run it by you guys.

I know there is a new intake manifold out called the P-51, but it's for the modular motors.

I know the P-51 mustang is a fighter plane.

Just figured they used the name for a special graphics package b/c I have never heard of it. I can't make out what the decals say on the side of the car.

My bro found it while searching for a new mustang and sent me a link. I told him that it's probably a graphics package. He e-mailed the guy and is waiting to hear what he says.

Wow, I guess I'm showing my age here.... the P-51 was a name given to the xenon body kit back in the mid '90's. When I first put my kit on people used to ask me if it was the P-51 kit. There was an advertisement in the magazines with that name and that's why it stuck. That car is setup just like the xenon photo car minus the rear wing maybe that is why its $$$. If I have time I'll see if I can find the old mags with it in.
