like the topic states which would be better cost/hp wise?
ported and polished pi heads or pat perf stage II's? i also would swap to some aftermarket cams too thats why i am asking. it would probly be in the price range for the p&p pi's with cams but i dont want to be dissapointed. also, any one know how much that would cost in labor?

Notice in my sig that my Pat Perf heads arent installed. When I got them, I took them to a shop to have them installed. Before the shop even pulled my heads, they called me saying that they couldnt install my heads because one of the header bolt holes was all dorked up. I called Pat Perf, they said to have a shop drill it and re-tap it, it would be fine. WTF, after quite a bit of arguing, they told me just to ship them back. So I shipped them back, almost a month later, I still havent got them back. I had heard bad things about Pat Perf, but but they were cheaper than most other places. Guess you get what you pay for.

Nothing but good news here from Patriot, heads came in on time and the work was great. they flow about 5-6 cfm less than some other P&P heads.. but at 800 cheaper I am willing to sacrifice that lol.

EXACTLY!!!
its more then a coincidence that so many people have issues with them. Its tempting to look their way because of the price but i've read too many unhappy customers to even register the positive feedback that trickles in. I would never buy their stuff.

One thing to keep in mind is that a unhappy customer is 75% more likely to make thier feelings known than a happy customer. Another is that alot of the heads they port are customer supplied and have issues before they even get them... Every company has problems that slip through, and maybe Patriot has more than they should,.. but from looking at the product I recieved and comparing it to others I have seen, the work looks first class.

We will see in time though.

No complaints here.
First class customer service, took care of an issue I was having with no problem.
I beleive that they have since fixed the problem they were previousely having with there heads.

For the price, A+
