P/S fittings Metric or SAE? And how to flush system?

Would the power steering pressure line fittings on a '90 GT be metric or standard? I went to Napa to get new hoses and they had a listing for both.

Also, what's the procedure for flushing the old fluid out of the p/s system before installing a new rack & pinion? How many quarts of p/s fluid am I likely to need and am I supposed to use type F fluid or the regular stuff?

Well in case anyone else has this question, I bought the lines with the SAE fittings and they fit the '02-'04 rack I'm installing. I assume they'd fit a Fox rack as well, I dunno what would use a metric.
