04 gt bbk off road x pipe got code p0153 earlier reset it tried three key cycles and not coming back any thing to worry about ? I ask because it seems like the passenger o2 sensor wire was tight when I installed off road mid pipe.

P0153 is a slow-response error with a front sensor so the lack of cats isn't involved.

Did you get any anti-seize on the O2 sensor when you installed it? It may also be caused by anti-corrosion oils being burned off and "temporarily" fouling the O2 sensor.

BTW, that wire being tight is not good. The engine moves a lot during acceleration and if the wiring is tight is can be pulled enough to snap. Make sure you've got enough slack...

I do have mils on the rear o2s. I do need to either buy, or make some exstensions for my sensors. Are the rear o2 sensors the same as the fronts ? I ask because the used x pipe I bought had nearly new ones in it. If they are the same I have a spare set. I drove a little over 20 miles to work this morning with no codes. The car seems to be runing fine, but I have feeling it could have somthing to do with the wires being so tight. I'm due an oil change so I'll extend those while I'm at it . Thanks for all the help.

the rear o2's are different then the front the fronts or up stream sensors should have a part number ****-9F472-*** i put the astrics because the first and last sets of numbers will differ depending on the vehicle the 9F472 number is fords number for O2 sensors. the rears or the down stream sensors will be ****-9G444-***. my guess would be the sensors on your car may be upstream 5C5Z-9F472-AA and down probably 5W6Z-9G444-AA. dont buy any sensors from your local parts store go with the motocraft parts its only a lil more money and its worth it. also its possible that your MIL's are not working if you have a tuner for the car then use the tuner to disable the rear sensors it will work the best. hope that helps some bro
