I am getting the P0171 DTC code now and lately i also noticed that there's some kind of sputtering/rumbling sound when accelerating. The sound comes a little bit even when idling but is more prominent during acceleration. It seems to be coming from the passgenger side, which is also where I believe Bank 1 is.
From what I have read so far there could be a variety of causes for this, but since I have a sputtering/rumbling sound, does this point towards a exhaust leak or manifold gasket leak ?
I had a exhuast welded on the same side last year because of a crack caused by A/C dripping on the exhaust.
Also, I am not getting 1074. Would that eliminate a lot of other causes like dirty MAF etc ?
