P0190 P193 HELP! i broke down!

i was driving home on my lunch break.. when my car threw a code as i was coming up to a stop light.. and started dying while in gear.. the more pedal i gave it.. the more it would bog.. and when it idled the car could barely stay running and eventually as i kept restarting it it just stopped runiing period.. the codes i was throwing was p0190 and p0193 by the way i currently own a 2003 GT

I get p0190 all the time...happens to me when my rail pressure gets below aound 10PSI after a WOT blast. It popps right back up, but sometimes it gets a bit too low.

Im thinking maybe your fuel pump died on you because its definatly fuel related

I have recently gotten the P0190 code. When I get paid again, I am going to replace the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor. That's the thing on the drivers side fuel rail. I think it like $60 from Ford.

a focus pump is an upgrade tothe pump you have now. it is a direct swap and good to around 430 hp

It has never stopped running, but I have punched it in 1st gear and it just spit and sputtered a few times. It seems that the longer I am WOT, the worse it gets. For example, my 1/4 mile mph have gone down about 5-6mph over the last few times I raced it. It feels like my car has no power beyond 5000 rpm.

In order of ease of fixing:

1. Bad gas...
2. Clogged fuel filter, usually shows up as high speed problems but if bad enough will effect normal driving.
3. FRP sensor is borked. Fairly common problem from what I have been told.
4. Your pump is going.

Put a gauge on the rail and see if your pressure is really low. That should give you an idea if the problem is really low fuel pressure.

I *think* the threads on that fitting *might* be left handed.
Double check before screwing the gauge on as I am not sure.
