p1506 suggestions

AAA came out and help with tire. He had noticed the car having issues staying running. He had altered the throttle body set screw and it stays running however, engine trouble light is on and the code reads p1506. any suggestions?

Clear the code and get a new IAC valve. Either that or you have a huge vacuum leak near the area.

AAA opened the throttle body set screw TOO much. Too much air is entering at closed throttle for the IAC to funciont. Close it back down some.

This will put you back to where you were. Now you can start looking for the vacuum leak that is there.

FWIIW, it is not possible to compensate for a vacuum leak by adjusting the TB set screw. It may appear to work, but as soon as the weather changes, it will fail.

Check the resistance on your IAC (6 - 13 ohms okay, anything else, not okay) and TPS voltage to be sure.
