I don't think long tubes will be legal, but just call a couple of stations to find out.

i think as far as you have cats you should be good. remember, they only check your car for codes...unless you live where they have sniffer testing, but thats mainly in Philly and Pitt

You should pass emissions with a catted mid pipe.

It will depend on your mechanic. They will check for codes but they are also required to do a visual inspection. So if any doubt, get cats and mil eliminators, and hollow the cats out.

Where outside of philly are you? I'm in delaware county...
Anyway, I really don't think that you will have a problem, as long as you don't get a dick for a mechanic to do the inspection. As long as the cats are there and working properly and no lights, should be good. If you car is OBD2, there is no sniffer test.

if you find a shop that the mechanic will skip the visual part and let it go you will be fine. there are a bunch in our area that have been hooked up to the machine and passed with no cats at all.

99gt- slp longtubes, slp o/r xpipe, slp catback
00gt- bbk longtubes, bbk o/r hpipe, mac catback
96 cobra- dr gas o/r xpipe, borla catback
98gt- bbk longtubes, bbk o/r hpipe, flowmaster 1 chambers
my car- bbk longtubes, dr gas short o/r xpipe, borla
(old setup)- fms shorties, fms o/r hpipe, flowmasters
old 96 cobra- bbk longtubes, bbk o/r hpipe, flowmasters

the list goes on and on...you will pass with MILs

yea but i would at all cost find a mechanic and not sacrifice sound, off-road pipes are the only way to go
