Well the cobra is broke and put away for winter and the season is almost over so I figured I would go out and try to get some good shots of the pace car. I post these over in the fox section but figured I would keep you guys updated and show them here to. I'm starting to have more fun taking pics now for some reason. And yes this is the same location that we shot the cobra at for MM magazine.

I burned up the supercharger. I was planning to rebuild it this winter as it was getting time to go through it but it let go before I got it put up for winter. Oh well, it will be ready to go by spring though.

Great use of secondary lighting! The building casts some really nice soft shadows. I like the backdrop too. You can't go wrong with the proven industrial background. Adds a lot of context and character.

I think you could have filled the frame with more car in the first two. The engine bay one has perfect light. I really like the interior shot too. It may have used some fill (flash or reflector) but it looks great. The 7th one down would have been suburb if that for lease sign wasn't there!

My favorite is the one with the employee parking sign in the back. The indirect light there ads a lot of hidden context to the whole image, it's excellent :nice: My second favorite is the 3rd shot. Lots of soft detail in the car and interesting reflections combined with the blues, bronzish, orange colors. The overall balance of warm and cool colors keeps me glued to it. I usually don't like the typical crooked shot, but it looks good here.

I figured I'd offer my own critic comments since you seem to be into the photography enough to appreciate/enjoy it.

Thanks for the feedback John. If I had some lights or reflector I could have really made some nice shots, but again I was just trying to get some good shots cause its gonna be a long winter.

I hear you on the crooked shot. I took about 250 pics so I have many of the same shots but with different placement of the car and angles and such. I'm sure no one wanted to look at all 250 though, lol.

AHHH, the cobras not dead, its just wounded. By the way Dan, your the one that inspired me with the water shots. It just so happens there were a few puddles that day. lol

Sweet! Yea I have seen some car pics taken on or near a puddle like that and I had been looking forever for one, finally found one lol. Glad to see you found one too!

BTW, I'm gonna need you to make me a new pair of SVO vinyl inserts, I busted up one of my sideskirts about a week ago, so a guy I know is gonna fix mine so I can have them repainted. Also, he is going to make a mold of them and make some reproductions since these are no longer made. so if anyone is interested in it, I can see if he will make some more copies of them. Let's keep it to PM's though, don't wanna clutter this thread up with OT.
