Hello All,

The paint on the cruise control buttons started to flake off where I press the "+" (set) button with my thumb. Just the corner for now, but it's only a matter of time before all the paint comes off.

This is a 2010 GT with about 30K miles on it. I got the car in late April last year and it seems kind of early for something like this.

Has anyone else had problems with interior paint flaking on any controls/surfaces?

I'm hoping that this is covered under warranty, but I'm guessing this will be categorized as "normal wear".

Any insights would be helpful.

EDIT: I just looked at my odometer and it reads 36110. So I am out of warranty by 110 miles. It will be interesting to see if they actually look at my car or just blow me off.

I hope you're right. I've have had bad luck with customer service with this car. so I'm not optimistic. But I may just get a pleasant surprise.

If it's not covered, come back and let us know. Some of us old guys (Fox folks) have become pretty crafty at making old controls look new. Can probably help you out in that department if the shop doesn't replace it for you.

Hi dadkind,

If the dealer is unable to fix your peeling paint, please PM me with your VIN, contact information, mileage, & servicing dealer name/state and I will see if anything can be done.
