Paint hows it look

yeah im losing the ten holes for bart racing wheels that are getting wrapped with goodyear circle track slicks. As for the strips down the front i wanted to try something different. I kinda messed them up a little bit but if i would have ran them all the way down they would get all messed up pushing the camaros and monte carlos around the track. yeah as soon as i get my numbers wheels and decals on i will put some more pictures up. I felt bad for this car because it was in almost perfect condition to restore. It just needed paint. I got it for $900. Never been wrecked almost perfect interior, but it was the cfi crap with an aod. I got it for $900. Until i get enough money saved up to build the 302 i gotta run the 289 out of my 65 with a c-4.

ouch. hurts. hurts bad. actually it almost pisses me off. $900 for it a CLEAN and RARE 85 GT and you tore out the PERFECT interior and are prepared to bash the hell out of it on the racetrack. at least swap it to aero nose before you tear up that mint GT bumper cover!

very true.... it wouldnt be 1/10th as bad if it werent such a rare car, which is now going to be just that much more rare..

still kinda cant wait to see the new pics though!

actually the bumper cover was a little beat up and had some cracks in it. I didn't think that this car was that rare. It was slow as hell when i drove it home. lol. it took all it had to chirp the tires. I didnt really think anyone would want the cfi stuff.

does anyone know the production number of the cfi car. I looked but couldnt find how many cfi's were produced.

less then 1,000 were built i belive...not 100% sure but that what i saw at the swap meet....

the CFI cars did suck performance wise....look at it this way....

1....its got a slick paint job....
2....its in the hands of a mustang fan...
3....its not being raced on a dirt track..

edit...CIRCLE TRACK!!!! WTF ARE YOU THINKING????

BUY A CAMARO FOR THAT ****

i think its too far along for a trade, but i did put on my emblems today and the hood and hatch pins. Picked up my tires, so when i get my rims within the next two weeks and get my decals next week ill put some more up. can't wait till april 21st for the first practice.

Picky part of me sees fisheyes in the second pic and a need for some serious wetsand time. Mustang part of me overlooks the imperfections and sees a gorgeous four eye.

I don't want to start anything, but it takes a lot of balls to say something like this about a car that someone is refinishing. Especially before you see the finished product. Obviously, it is still in the works.

I do a lot of paint work myself, and I think that your car looks great! I like the color of the stripes and the way you ran them over the bumper! It is unique and it will really turn heads!! Keep us updated!!!! :nice:
