Hey man thats great that your g/f's dad is doing that for you.Thats how i learned how to paint about 15 years ago.I went to a family friend for an estimate on painting my old 77 monte carlo.Well he told me the would do it for free if i helped him and i had to buy my materials.Needless to say i ended up with a key to his shop and i contunied working for him untill just a few years ago and i learned alot.As far as your question Dupont Chromillusion is nice,i have it on my Mazda 929 and when my wife gets home i will have her take a pic of it and post it on her for you to see.It changes from grean to purple to blue with hints or gold and lime and orange. With the right rims and right color change it would look good.I wanna paint my 02 gt with the fire red(changes from gold to red to orange)but i am going to wait untill the car is paied off before i go changing the color on it.

Just throwing in my $.02 here. The dupont Chromallusion is killer, but it's very expensive to do. House of Kolor has color changing paint as well and it's a good bit cheaper than Dupont, and it's a much better custom paint. There simply isn't another company out there who's product is as good as HOK's, especially not for the money. Their clear is three times better than it's nearest competitor as far as UV protectant goes. And it's also user friendly. Now their color changing paint doesn't flip quite as many colors as does the dupont, but if you are looking for the blue, green, purple flip, they have it. I've sprayed it and love it. I did a stencil of a Cobra on the underside of a Cobra R hood and it was killer. For custom paint, I won't spray anything else. At least do some research on their products before you make your choice. I think you find that they are a top notch company.

there was a 5.0 mustang article a ways back that had a a 2001? cobra on the cover. it was red with yellow/orange/red colorshifting flames on the front and down the sides. it was really sharp lookin. it looked like the car was on fire. it was one of the coolest paint jobs i've seen in a loooooong time.
