paint question

I want to have my car stripped to the bare metal and then painted with a white base coat and then 4 coats of House of Kolor Neon Blue and then clear coated. I would have to supply the paint and want a good idea how much paint I would need for the base coat and then for the blue. Can anyone give me an idea?

Is the HOK neon blue a candy color?
What's the white under coat for? I would think four coats of anything would cover it up anyway.
Depending on the painter, less than a gallon of base will give good coverage. Make it a gallon if you're doing the door, hood and trunk jams

Anytime you paint with a candy color then you will need a ground coat(base coat)HOK makes some great color combos and the color of the base decides the outcome of the candy thats sprayed over it.The candy if a transparant color and you may need more then four coats to cover that white.But you shouldn't need no more then 2 quarts of white because once you add the reducers then you will have about a gallon of sprayable material.As far as the actual candy goes then i would get at least 4 quarts of that.Some people might say 3 but since its blue being sprayed of white then I would get 4.And as far as the clear goes then I would also get a gallon of that too.If your doing the jams too then just add a quart to the base and candy.But the gallon of clear should still be enough.Just remember that the more coats of candy you apply the darker the color will be.
