hope this belongs in here, but ive never used zanio and i want to order some things from them. i was wondering what you guys use from them? anyway my question is this. they seem to be sayin the the zfx stuff is needed for doing multiple layers of wax. zfx is their flash cure excelerator.

i was wondering if the zfx is a must, or can i just their polish z-2 pro.

i understand that they are saying use the zfx to help the polish(z2 ) to bond to it, but how often would you use the Zfx? do you use it before every waxing.

i really just wanted to skip it and order a bottle of their swirl remover z5 and top that off with z2. (however they say zfx is a must) is this true the zfx seems to be too much trouble to me.

what is your guys setup?

As I understand it...the ZFX additive allows you to apply multiple coats one after the other.

Without the ZFX additive, it is recommended that you wait at least 24 hours before adding another coat.

And if it's your first application, I don't think you need to apply Z1 either...just add a few drops of the ZFX into enough Z2 (or Z2pro) for a couple of coats and you're off to the races.

if you get the ZFX- the z1 is not needed. i forgot all teh actualy names but i have the zfx, z2, the swirl remover z5?, the carwashz7?, the detail spray z6?, and i have used the claybar z18? i am going to get the new detail spray later today. you do not need the zfx-everytime you use the z2 only if you plan on putting more than 1 layer on at a time.

Z1 only BEFORE the first coat of Z2...you don't apply it after that. You apply the Z1...don't remove it...apply the Z2 on top, let cure and then buff off.

With the ZFX...you lose the "one-and-only" Z1 step...the ability to apply consecutive coats is a bonus. And as I hear the new Z2 Pro cures in like 20 minutes (got my bottle...haven't used it yet).

Can somone post pics of these products. There are a lot of questionable answers in this thread, with people not being sure of the correct Zaino brand numbers. like Z18? Z2? Z7, etc.

Someone wanna post pics and explain what each does more in depth? I'd like to get some Zaino myself.

If you take your time, it will look awesome. That is what my bro told me. SO This is what I did.

First- wash the car with dawn dish soap.

Second- clay bar the entire car.

Third- washed the car again.

Fourth- Using the ZFX with Z5 put on 3 coats, gloss enhancer in between the coats.

Fifth- Using the ZFX with Z2pro put on another 3 coats, gloss enhancer in between coats.

I plan to do a couple more coats of Z2 when I have time.

The car LOOKS AWESOME! The other day a customer asked if I just had the painted.

Z5 helps to remove fine swirl marks and fine scratches (actually fill in.) The Z2 is the top coat polish ( highest gloss) Go onto Zainos website, they have alot of good tips!
One example- using the Z5 apply the polish from top to bottom(up and down) for all side panels. Apply front to back for all the top panels (hood, roof, etc.) This helps with the light reflection for a deeper shine.
