painted calipers?

So i got my black 18" fr500's on yesterday with bfg kdw 2's. it looks amazing. but one thing i wanna do to set it off a bit more is paint my calipers red. i was wondering if this could be done and it look good and how it is done. also does anyone have pictures of painted calipers? maybe a close up? thanks.

I did mine using the $15 Duplicolor brush on kit. I did mine however off the car which allowed me to take the caliper apart and paint it completely and then put the pads in. Gave a better look although i did my rear calipers on the car and they were easy.

Looks much better

Also, you'll notice I painted the rotor centers Silver to match the car and prevent rust. It's a nice clean touch. I painted the rotors on the car. I used black electrical tape to mask off the swept area of the pad. I took the calipers off and put them in a plastic bag and then i turned the rotor why spraying several think coats of High temp engine paint. I let it dry, peeled off the electrical tape and put the caliper back on. It took a few days of driving to "Bake" the paint. During hard braking, when the rotor temps got hot, you could smell the paint. After some time it would lessen and you'd notice the paint was more firmly fused to the rotor. No chips or scratches at all. It's been almost a year and NO need to do any touchups

I did this set of Calipers for my FOx using the VHT spray on paint in a can for $5. Again, i did them off the car with the calipers apart. I did several coats letting them dry for 20 mins in between. Good result

I got the G2 kit from Tire Rack to paint my rears when I got the Bullitt fronts so they would match. Worked really well...

Prior to this I had used the aluminum colored VHT spray and over time it started looking like crap, but this stuff is holding up really well.
