I used the G2 epoxy paint kit. I got black as I didn't want such a contrast between the caliper and wheel. Also it ties in with my "dark" theme quite nicely I only applied two coats, but could have done several more as there is a generous amount of paint in the can! You can't "save it for later" since you add a hardener to the paint and only have a 4-6 hour window to use it. Due to limited garage space, I could only do one end of the car at a time. From start to finish (wheels off to back on), it took about two hours to prep and paint.

Black is the best choice for sure. It came out quite nice. Dude those fall colors shots are amazing. Growing up in Newport News I miss the fall season living out here. The leaves are reflecting so much in your paint I first thought your car was dirty! LOL

Did you get your wheels from Cruizen Concepts? That center logo looks like theirs. I have been hunting wheels for over a week now....its quite overwhelming. I gotta upgrade, stock look is killing me. LOL

I thought so. So is that your house in the background? Or did some lady yell at her husband........"honey there is some long hair out front with his loud car doing something....go out there and tell him to leave" LOL

Nope, that is not my house. Mine is a few up the street. Earlier you were talking about the leaf reflections making it look as if my car were dirty... Well, here's a pic after I drive it into work after it rains (construction and a dirt road don't make it pretty).

at the husband/wife story!!!!!

...besides...who are you calling long hair??? Oh yeah, it'd be me!!!!!

Near the end of high school I had long hair. Shortly after graduating (early '90s), it turned into the mullet A few years later, I cut it all short I started letting it grow about 4 years ago and now I just trim about twice a year! I'll never sport a mullet again!!!!!

The blue Stang in the background is the '10 model. He got the black chrome FR500 about a month after me.

KD I just noticed that your license plate looks like it is held on by zip ties? Or the appropriate mustang quality equivalent...

Lookin good did mine about a month and a half ago, anodized blue and I painted the rotors black and threw them on the brake lathe so I had a clean surface for the pads. Turned out great and no more rusty looking rotors hehe

Zip ties is correct I wasn't about to drill holes in my brand new bumper and the lower grille provides an excellent spot to put the tag that way. My thought behind it was so it was cheap and easy to snip them off and have no plate during shows and photo shoots, but yet it's never been off since going on in early March. One day I will remove it for pics...esp since that plate was bent up in the "incident" which led to the new front end.
