whenever you paint anything with curves go to autozone and but some striping tape. you will be able to curve it around the tight in and outs of the wheels...

looks good though!

I like how they were the first time. They look good but would have looked better all silver. Im painting my wheels gunmetal right now. Ill get some pics up within the next week or so. They look sickkkk, would look sooo hot on those wheels.

Looks good man. You gonna respray the surface? I think a set of 97 Cobras would have looked sweet on your car, but those are pretty slick too.

By surface you mean the face of the rim? It is newly painted silver, it came out perfect too. I just need to touch up the outside of the rim a lil better. On the car it is going to look awesome! It is almost a perfect match to my paint scheme on the car!!

Try using blue masking tape next time...it bends a little easier than the cheaper white tape. Also for the paint edges use the skinniest tape you can find for the edge, then go back over with the wide for coverage. It also peels up easier.

Yeah I might sand this one down tomorrow and redo it completely. The others I will use the skinnier tape. Thanks!

When you do the curves...don't try to BEND the tape....you'll tear off a small piece and tape it along the line, then do another small piece...and another and so on. If you take your time you'll get a perfect curve.

Alternately if you have a steady hand, you can take the wide tape and just tape OVER the line, and then cut out with an exacto and make your curve.

i painted my rims too. when you do the rest of the rims, i would just tape off the front part of the rim and leave the inside corner the new color. it will be a hell of a lot easier to just tape off the outer part of the rim. the corner im talking about is on the 2nd to last pic. just tape off the top part. it will look like it was made that way and that is an easier line for the color transition.
