Painted supercharger, anyone? pics?

Anyone here ever painted their supercharger??

Yes people have but I believe it's not recommended for a daily driver. Either painting or powdercoating will cause excess heat soak, not allowing the heat to disipate, further raising the intake charge temp. This is just what I've read. Others chime in........

Mine is satin finish, I guess I need to break over and make it a winter project

Is that the same with turbo's?I painted mine,i heard polishing stuff cause heat soak.peace

Depends on what paint you use really. Some paints let heat escape more readily than others.

polishing the part creates more heat soak because the heat transfer from polished surface to air is greater. Painted parts keep the heat inside, so there is less relative heat soak to parts nearby.

You kinda gotta look at it on a part by part basis. If you polish a part, will it heat soak your entire bay? If you paint a part, will the trapped heat cause any issues?

Guys powdercoat and paint their roots blowers on Terminators all the time. Whipple wrinkle finishes most all of theirs from the factory.
