Actually I put the covers on when I was repainting the car, I can only recomend them if this is when you do them cause A)the supplied adhesive is crap B) adhesive that I used is very agressive and will damage paint. The look was absolutley fantastic in terms of apperance but I had some excess get on the body and it had to be sanded off cause de stuff is a hard hard hard. Result is no one even notices and that is what I wanted..look oem and good when done this way.

IMO, this is the most righteous way to address the problem; I'll be doing it if I ever get around to repainting my car:

About how many cans of dye would be needed to dye an entire interior on a coupe? I'm talking, the dash pad/vents, door panels, center console, and interior panels on the inside on the back.

Do you have any pics on how well the Duplicolor paint works?

This is not a tech post but ...

With my experience using Duplicolor on the exterior, I would say it is a low-end quality paint.

Good quality plastic/vinyl interior paint is going to cost good money too.
The last time I bought a plastic exterior paint, it cost $25 a spray can.
I bet anything that a similar quality interior paint wont cost anything Duplicolor goes for.

Painting is a lot of work. I expect you've done some exterior painting to know what you're getting into. Good luck.
