I'm looking to change my interior from red to black. is there a special type of paint i need to use? what would be best (and cheapest if possible)?? has anyone done this before and has tips? thanks:)

The best option is to take them to a paint shop and have them sprayed with an adhesion promoter, then sprayed using auto paint, then cleared.

Other wise, do a search, there are quite a few posts about this.

Id recommend lots of prep work, and possibly the krylon fusion as a good base coat.

OK ...

First off understand I am extremely anal when it comes to my show car. Perfection or "nothing".

I painted my interior pieces last summer. I appologize that I do NOT have any pictures yet (laziness). I WILL be updating my site this spring with interior shots.

I did NOT do the door jams - they get too much abuse and would look like shiot after a while. I did the gauge bezel and the radio/ac/ trim and the shifter boot piece. So basically the center section from top to bottom. I did not do the outside vents either.

It looks absolutely incredible. My car is laser red - see avator. It matched to perfection. Laser red is VERY hard to match. I purchased the paint online from http://www.paintscratch.com/

It came with 3 cans for laser red because of the metalic paint. I followed the instructions and had great success.

My car is still covered up but I can send pictures once it is on the road.

Take care!
