Parking Break Handle Went Bad! Recall isue?

So I pulled the break handle and it went all the way up...

So now it's just rolling up and down and not pulling the cable.
It's not engaging.

When I had my 94 V6 I recieved the recall letter for parking break
and I went and had it fixed.

Now that I have my GT I don't know if the service was already done.
Oh by the way it's a 5spd..

You can go to either the Ford web site or the Ford service department with you vin and look up your car to see if there are any recalls for it and if so, have they been taken care of yet.
