It's a toss-up between the $150 I wasted in my current cat-back setup (Dynomax Super Turbo #17676's) or the UPR cat'ed X-pipe that I will only keep on hand in the future for smog inspections and NEVER for daily driving. Both have done nothing but give me headaches as far as fitment and a total lack of ground clearance. (And, yes, I'll admit the side-exit idea was a stupid, stupid idea on my part, but I had to try it just to be certain.)
Being that I could've probably just bought a used OEM cat'ed H-pipe for smog testing and gotten the Jeg's off-road X-pipe that I'm currently running (and loving), I would've been money ahead to just do that instead of blowing the extra $300 on the UPR cat'ed X that I'll only use for a week or so every one or two years. So, as far as cost, the UPR X-pipe wins; as far as humiliation factor, being that I argued in favor of side-exits and such for all those posts and then I wind up hating my own setup about a week or so after I bolted it up, then the cat-back gets the win. (I am sooooooo ready to bolt up my Pypes Violators again. Good thing I kept 'em in nice shape when I took 'em off and didn't pitch 'em, or the SS tails.)
