I am always impressed with Summit. I ordered a part for my Civic from them online monday morning and it was at my apartment door when I got home on Tuesday!
I checked into it, and the Fel-pro 1415 is a rectangular port gasket (like the stock one). The BBK gaskets are more of an oval port...sooo...should I look for a good oval port one...I found on on Summit.com form Mr.Gasket.

Also, the oval ones seem to match the shape of the port on the header better, whereas the stock ones seem to cut off a tiny bit of the port. Are the headers just oversized a little in order to accomodate some aftermarket heads or something?

Do not use those plugs... Our cars like Copper plugs like Autolites. Go back and return them.

Crap..I was afraid of that. They had some autolites but they were also double platinums. The guy at the store told me that the stock ones are plats....figures... I knew that guy was full of **** when I overheard him tell another customer that a "power programmer" would net 70hp from a 99+ mustang
I hope he lets me return them...I already opened one of them...oh well...If anything I'm out $3.99He also told me I was not supposed to use a gapping tool on platinum plugs because I would scrape the platinum off. Is this true?
Anyways...
I got the driver's side header in tonight, which took me all of 15 minutes. What a peice of cake compared to the passenger side. All I had to do was unbolt the steering linkage and insert the header from underneath....didn't even have to jack up the engine! I'm sure the fact that there is no tranny or bellhousing in the way made it much easier.
Sees like they hang a little lower than the stock pipes.

the guy at the auto store probably has to sell those plugs umong other products to keep his district manager from bitching. I know we do. basically the DM gets nice fat checks for hawking certian products. the store manager does to but not that big of a check and he could probably care less except for keeping the DM off his ass.
