Hello,

Time to bug you wise folks again.

I am thinking of tossing a new radiator in the 94 GT (automatic, so keep the trans cooler in mind).

I have read a bit about the Summit radiators (which is all that is in my price range as far as boutique radiators go) but it does not have a provision for the trans cooler (i will be plumbing an aftermarket stacked plate cooler in soon, but not yet). I know with foxes, one can run a heavy duty 3 core unit from GDI or Modine for around 150 bucks (from the local parts store).

in looking, parts stores only show a one row radiator (i would assume is a bone stock replacment). does anyone know if a heavier duty unit from a parts store exists and what any part numbers might be? i live in the desert (it was over 90* today!) and need all the cooling i can get.

Thank you for any and all thoughts!

Where do you live? The desert, Geez

I have the 3 core parts store GDI and I like it. Its cheap, fits fine and offers a lifetime warranty (I already exchanged one as it musta been clogged) Car cools great. Just be sure to NOT lose your reciept. I lost mine and had to borrow my friends receipt to exchange mine

Part # 433138

Thanks for the reply Mike.
do you run that on a fox or know if it will work on an SN? with the small 'snout' on the SN's, i was not sure that GoDan rad would fit (i will be all over that one for my 88GT when i need one for it. knowing about it was what made me create this thread).

yeah, i live in Tucson. gonna be low 90's for the next few days.

I think Nate (nmcgrawj) is running that radiator. I know he ordered it, but I don't know if its installed yet on his 95GT.

Its just starting to get into the mid 50's here and its starting to feel hot. I wonder what 90* in April feel like

Thanks again bud. i might shoot him a PM and see what his thoughts are.

i grew up in Alaska - anything over freezing feels hot to me. i lose about 2 gallons of water a day. 90* in April aint pretty. i cant wait for 105-110*.

I assume you didnt get it at autozone because i know they put down your phone number along with name on their system on warrantied parts. in otherwords you dont need a reciept, just memorize the phone number you used.

Yea i got the Pepboys radiator with the lifetime warranty but i think its different from Mikes (grn92lx) cause its not a 3 core. It seems to be an aluminum version of the stock piece. Lifetime warranty and all that...temps stay at about 190* most of the time a little less with a 180* t-stat.

It dropped right in but i was kinda disappointed it wasnt as thick as iwas expecting...but it does the job and will do it as long as i have that reciept! Pepboys has the number system now so i wonder if they will remember you bought it.

Nope, I bought a real NOS 5115 dry kit instead of the floormats. I wonder if the NOS floormats would have added just as much power?

The radiator must be different for a 94/95 as the 3 core part # doesn't come up on autozone for a 94/95.
