Parts that just break and those that wear out?

Hey people, can we get a running list of all the electronic parts that break and their warning signs/symptoms? For example, I have read that things like O2 sensors get "slow" as they wear out while something like a TFI module will just stop working without any warning signs. Are these true?

Can we get some insights on these types of parts and keep them all in one place?
