I rented a Titan to go to Death Valley last weekend for a Geology field trip- I wasn't about to take the F-350 out there-too many dirt roads...

They (Enterprise) didn't have an F-150 ready when I needed to leave... after driving a Toyota Camry earlier in the week, I was leary of another import "brand."

I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. I managed to get 17.5 mpg, going 80, between Norco and Baker, CA. Other than the Titan's God-awful front-end styling, it was a very nice truck. It handled the dirt roads okay... I did enjoy the manual shift option on the shifter..

The brakes were squeaking when I picked it up (after 5000 miles on the odometer) but this was probably because someone else hosed it.. The truck was very quiet though...

Overall, not a bad truck... I don't think i'd take one over a Ford, and certainly not over a Mustang, but hey...

Nice SUV....wouldn't be my personal choice, but I'm sure its a great ride.

I think the thing about the side profile is the way it bumps up over the drivers area, then curves back down, then just goes flat over the cargo area. Just a strange line. It probably stands out in white more than the other colors too. I don't know how they drive, but I'm in love with the looks of the new Tahoes.

test drove a new 07 tahoe right off the truck and the damn thing was rattling like it was 5 years old-horrible turning radius, clumsy seats(folding) third row has to come out like old school minivan, so on and so on...tahoe looks killer on outside but was not very well thought out...

The Tahoe has a turning radius of 39 ft. Armada turning radius is 40.8 ft.

Armada gets 13/19 mpg with 305hp. Tahoe get 16/22 mpg with 320hp.

I am generally not a GM fan but if I where getting an SUV, I would either get an 07 Trailblazer SS or a new Tahoe with the 6.0L

The new Ford SUVs, imo do look nice but still are not what GM or the Imports are putting out. They are better than a Durango though

all the reports are still based on 04 year model which was the first production year and had some bugs. Some still existed through 05, but are supposed to be gone by 06. I didn't pay much attention to those reports. The Tahoe looks awesome inside and out(though not as nice inside as Armada and Expo), but i wouldn't trust GM to get the first year production right--especially considering they've implemented DOD. Fit and finish was still crap in the one I test Drove(rattles and Dumb seats). I guess the depreciation on Expo doesn't count since supposedly armada depreciates badly also...but the quality of the interior materials was better in the armada--and I got to have something more unique. It looks better in person than in the pics....
