I went to look at a stang today to possibly replace my 00GT and noticed something odd. The passenger side airbag cover appears to be snapped in tight but sits about 1/4" low, almost as if it is sagging. A little hard to describe but hope you can get the picture. Has anyone ever seen this? My guess is maybe someone caught the corner of the cover with something and pulled it some.
I had my airbags deployed and the cover went back on no problem so that is not it. Plus, the car is low mileage and never had paint work or been hit.
Is the cover held with clips of somekind that can be aligned? Do some come from the factory slightly off?
