depends on your goal, both are good blowers. basically you can choose between a S & T trim vortech for good street blowers. or, you can go with the novi 2000 which is also a good street blower but is bigger than both the S & T trim, which inturn will give you a lil more room to grow

I need a sc that wont blow a stock engine I noticed paxton gives 10 to 12 psi isnt that too much on stock engine i thought 9 was tops on psi. Also paxton is only 2800 bucks and vortech is like 4800.

ANY s/c can blow your engine, it's all in the tune. also, a novi 2000 costs more than the s-trim kits

yea you looking at the wrong prices. you might be looking a a vortech complete kit against just the novi 2000 ny it self without the other components needed. or you might be checkin out the price of the novi 1000.

the novi 2000 is the most expensive out ot the 2. im going novi 2000

Go vortech, much better customer service and they've basically bought out Paxton.

Had a friend call down to Paxton in So. Cal and the customer service was a joke, no one even knew what they were talking about.

Apparently most the old paxton engineers are working for Vortech now, and Vortech actually knows what they're talking about.

changing belts on a paxton is easier than on a vortech.
however, since you are on a stock block you will not seeing a ton of boost. as long as you have everything lined up you shouldn't have to change your belt too often.
this is the main price difference as the paxton bracket is pretty pricey.
I am happy with my T-trim.

If you plan on staying under 400 rwhp then a Vortech SQ would be the best bang for the buck. If you have plans for more power, go ahead and spend the couple hundred extra dollars on a Novi2000.

Just blew $3,890 is on a Votech.
I love the fact that they have system prepared to run with my himble stock set-up.

To me, it's about horses without destroying my motor.

I know what I'm looking for and guess everyone should also know their goals.

100 HP is all I want, no more!

So Vortech is for me. I'll drive the rest~!

First of all, Vortechs are great blowers but your better off with the paxton. You need to remove the blower every time you change the belt. With the paxton you can just remove a bracket. The paxton Novi2000 (dont bother with the 1000) comes with an intercooler too which will take up some of that extra boost. The vortech doesnt. Just go to Modular Power house and get a mongoose kit with either blower. It'll come with the right injectors, a decent mail order tune from hundreds of cars with the same setup and the right fuel pump. The vortechs come with a pump that doesnt necessarily work with your car. You dont need it. If your gonna buy parts seperately check out www.superchargersonline.com. Make sure you get 42 LB injectors, you can do it with 30's on up, but 42's will be able to support 500 HP. A SVT Focus pump will support about 400 HP, so you can use that as well. Cheap.. good to go. You can also use the paxton intercooler with the vortech. My vortech's been trouble free for 3 years. That said.. I've outgrown it.
