correction, 87-89's did. (not sure about 4 eyes.) in 90 they added the airbag, and we lost tilt wheel, and the low washerfluid, low oil, check oil, and low fuel lights to the right of the wheel.

So how many miles did you go between when the fuel light came on and when you ran out of fuel?

Ive heard that with Mach's using 4.10's in town can improve mileage...Ive read it on the net a few times.

Better mileage with 4.10s? I could be wrong, but I don't really see how that would be possible... Where did you read this? Perhaps on the site that was trying to sell 4.10s?

In town...yes. The 4.10's will allow you to accelerate using less power from a stop, or a slow roll and run around in O/D most of the time when on the move, keeping cruising RPM lower. That being said, the added "zip" you'll feel with the lower gear set will make it tough for you to keep your foot out of it.....negating any mileage gain, so keep that in mind if you're planning to do the swap!

Nah I think it was at Mach1 registry.I dont pay alot of attention to ads or sales gimmicks.Kinda made sense to me really,if your willing to use all five gears in town. But at the same time just like gearbanger said...it would be hard to keep the foot out of the floor..

Just for Melvin's sake, our '82 had a low fuel light. It wasn't on the dash though, it was on a very "tron like" outline of the car on the center console.

My friend had that tron gauge cluster in his '86. I thought it was cool as hell.

Didn't it also have a door ajar warning light too??

Yep and low washer fluid. My 84 and 86 had them. Seems like there was another light for coolant or trunk or something

Remember the gawd awful buzzer they had when you would open the door? Still sends chills up my spine

Yep...as well as a high beam indicator, open door, open hatch (if you had one) and a low washer fluid light.
