I plan to upgrade to the 99+ PBR calipers but was wondering if you can reuse your original caliper brackets? Diversified Marketing sellls new take off calipers, pads, rotors and brake lines for $170 but does not include the brackets. Does anyone know if the brackets are the same? Thanks for the help.

I don't mean to hijack Qwick 5.0's thread but I've been looking in depth to upgrading my brakes. Has anybody heard or seen anything good/bad about these kits?

IF you use the stock rotor you have to notch your spindel to get the caliper to fit. if you go to a larger rotor then you need the spindel off the car or bracket. remember the 99+ gt still had a standard 16in wheel. so the rotor is the same as us 94-98's.

Thanks for the help guys. I don't want the big brakes from the Cobra/Bullit since the car will have drag wheels on it frequently. BTW, I am not sure about the website for Diversified as I just called them from the number out of their ad in MM&FF.

yeah i just saw diskbrakesrus and automatically thought cobras for some reason. i guess because thats what they try to push the most. im sure you can save quite a bit over them if you get used parts, i got a set of calipers with pads and a set of rotors for 60 bucks

PPI (mustangparts.com) probably has the $400 kit. At least they used to.

Are the rear Cobra brake kits worth the money? I know they look good but do you really feel any difference?

99+ twin piston pbr calipers were stock on gt and v6's I will be and have looked at it very close running on my 94 you have to notch but they bolt up. now cobra brakes might be diff. but my girls aunts v6 have the same front pbr calipers as my 00gt calipers off my friends 00gt. THats what I thought was being asked not if cobra's would fit but 99+pbr twins. I know there were some pics of the notching for clearance somewere on here.
