Did a search on PCV screens and I don't think I can read anymore (Going blind from all the info)!!!!

Couple of ??

First found valve pulled hose off, pulled valve out, looked down in hole and can't see a screen (hard to see in hole). What would this do to the motor as in running condition? Idle fast? Use Oil?? as I have some issues with these. Trying to resolve them with all the info I've been reading. Does the screen drop way down in as not to be seen??

Car is 88GT so no MAF, also as I'm reading these posts what does SD mean Seed Density??? was all I could guess. The more I dig into this car the more I think the PO was not such a good mechanic. Non EFI valve covers, electric fan cobbled in, vacuum hoses not hooked up or just missing. OHHHH THE JOYS OF TRYING TO FIGURE EVERYTHING OUT!!!!

Without the screen you would be sucking oil like a mofo.

Sd means speed density. Its the system the ecu uses to calculate the air/fuel and timing tables for your car.
