PCV Setup/Deletion(for those w/ Victor EFI intakes)

What are you guys with Victor EFI intakes doing for PCV setups? I have a friend with a 347ci engine that has a Victor intake and the car was bought with the following setup already on it: Breather filter on the passenger side valve cover, then it has the PCV valve placed in the driver's side valve cover w/ a vacuum line running to a nipple installed on the intake manifold. With this setup, the car sucks a good bit of oil up into the intake manifold. I installed a catchcan inline before the intake manifold and it collects a few ounces per couple of hundred miles of driving. Anyways, I've seen some guys running no PCV valve at all and just a breather on the passenger side valve cover. Will this setup suffice?

i put a closed breather cap with a vaccum nipple on the drivers side valve cover and ran a vac hose from that to a fitting i installed in the back side of the rubber elbow that connecs the MAF and throttle body, then i installed a factory PCV valve in the passanger side valve cover with a vac line to the intake
