'91 4 cyl LX. Tuned the car up and also did the pcv valve. I now have oil coming out from underneath, I think the rear main seal. Would a bad pcv valve make enough pressure in the engine to blow the seal? If this is the case, is the seal still ok or does it need to be replaced? Thanks.
In my brief existence with the 2.3 I have found the rear main seal is a problem but only takes about a day to replace if your handy with some tools,
you'll have to pull the tranny back out of the way (easier if it's a five speed) I used a screw and some channel locks to pull mine out (probably not the smartest way but it worked)
