Last month some douch backed into my Fox and left at a Wal-Mart while I was in the store. The bumper cover had a couple knicks but the paint was sheared of just where the bumper cover curves to the fender extension. Luckly, it was just the cover and no sheet metal. I took the bumper cover off sanded, primed, and sprayed it, looks perfect! The car was painted single stage about 5 years ago and still shines good or so I thought because the damn bumper cover looks SOO much glossier now I guess I will have to get down to business on the whole car. My wife thinks I am anal about it but it's about time the old Fox get's a makeover.

I wish more people would own up to wacking peoples rides.

NO WAY!!! someone broke the tail light on my dodge ram at walmart last month!! prolly the same guy!

I bet it was some illegal with no car insurance, we should find that guy!

This is why I park way back in the parking lot and walk. Gives the benefit of exercise also.:nice:

Post pictures of before and after.

Yea, thats just it, I parked pretty far out but it's just my luck I guess. When I get home tonight I will post some pics.

BTW: The tail lens was cracked too, lucky I had just bought a set of lenses for my sons Fox that we are restoring.

Wal mart parking lot people suck more than any others. I had a lesbo dyke bitch run into my legs and almost knock me over cause she was tearing through the parking lot to get the close spot so her fat ass dont have to waddle far. She gets out of the car and I am glaring at her and she goes "WHAT!?" I said you just ran into me! And she yells back (I did not yell) "You should have moved faster ass hole" and walks into the store. Another lady that saw the whole thing goes "What a ****!" and runs her key down the trunk of the bishes car :rlaugh: I thought that was a good idea so I made two complete laps of her car too. :nice:

I also came out once with a Grand Prix front bumper pushed into my 96 Cobras bumper scratching it. I waited for the bitch to come out and I politly said "You accidently hit my car" and ponted it out. She shrugs and says "Oh well" and gets in her car. I tell her I need her insurance info and she says "Its just an old POS Mustang, deal with it" and starts to back out. With all my might I hit her hood with the the heal of my hand putting a huge dent into it. She yells HEY! and I said "What? Its just a POS Pontiac."
She flew out of that parking lot :rlaugh:

The same thing happened to my jeep wrangler at a Sams Club parking lot. When I noticed the damage I knew it had happened while I was in the store so I went inside and asked a manager if they had surveillance cameras covering their property. They did, however they would not let me view the recordings due to "some policy"...a day later I recieved a phone call from a higher up manager saying that they viewed a possible collision in their lot and he provided me with a license plate. I filed a police report and the rest was history. My damages were paid for by the guilty. This crap happens way to often and people get away with it. Its frustrating and time consuming, but sometimes the innocent gets what they deserve, a fixed car! Sorry bout the accident!

i always park over on the side of the building, tucked nicely into a end spot with a planter on one side, only exposing one side of my car to the vermin at wal-mart. plus i know the cart guy (he's on the p.o.c fd that I'm on) and told him that if my stang gets hit by a cart I'm kickin his ass, then ill roll him like a buger with teh deck gun on one of our engines.

Not all people will bail after they hit your parked car.I had a guy hit my car out on the street one time.He left a note with his name and number to call him on my wiper blade.I didnt even see the dent on the fender until after i read the note and got out to look. :rlaugh::rolleyes:

Here is the damage.

Check this link for a pic of the car just days after it was painted and it's easy to tell how the Florida sun beats up on the single stage paints. Now that the car is not my DD I have some plans for a new restoration after I finish the 92'

My brother pushes carts at wal-mart and he sees parking lot accidents all day; he says they have a concrete post that used to have a sign or something on it over by the auto service side. The post is so low that pickup trucks run into it, he said he saw two Dodge trucks run into it in the same day... the front of one truck was so smashed that they had to lift it off of the post. :rlaugh:

I got hit in a Wal Mart parking lot once, luckily I wasnt driving the Mustang. I was sitting in line waiting to get out of the lot and some 16 yr old kid backed into me because the front of his mini van was too far out in traffic. I was in a '95 Merc Tracer with the stuipid all plastic bumpers that crack at the slightest impact. We exchanged numbers, but I could never get a hold of the douche bag; I didnt care much because it was a Tracer with a hacked up Escort bumper on the front anyway. lol

Yes, why? Pretty standard thing to do.
Just wondering. I know the flex abent tends to darken the paint a little, no? I figured since its a bumper you added the flex agent and caused it to be a bit darker. That and the fact that the sun kills single stage paint.

Looks fine, it really only notecable from the rear 3/4 shot and I am sure the camera makes it worse then it is. It would drive me nuts too but I dont have painting skills/tools so I just live with it. Hell, my Mark VIII has a different color fender onit for a couple years now cause I cant paint. :rlaugh:

I did think about the flex agent darking things up but then I pulled up the pic right after the car was painted and realized that the problem was just that it was the rest of the car that had the issue.

Yesterday I had the car out of the garage and in the sunlight it's hard to really notice because of the metalic flakes.
