Is the "Aluminum Trim" actually made of aluminum? Or is it just painted Plaz-Tek. Also, are those the same seats from the Mazda 6? I guess that would make sense. The leather looks very similar.

It's aluminum to the very best of my knowledge. Definitely wasn't just painted plastic.

There is an article in the new mustang enthusiast magazine. And the engineer says it is real aluminum. That they refused to downgrade to painted plastic.

That is gonna be interesting in the summer though, the SVT Focus has a real aluminum shift knob and people have complained about burning themselves on it in the summer.

Yea the aluminum pieces Ihave in my stang right now get pretty hot. But if I tolerate it long enough to turn the airconditioning on. They get to be a little more tolerable. It's also why I am building a shift knob out of leather and carbon fiber.

Well i know when i first saw the interior of the Mazda 6 i was loving all the aluminum, and then i sat in it and realized it was all fake. It was very dissapointing. My friend's GTI has real aluminum in it and it is quite tight.
