I want to run more timing.

Setup is AFR165s 58cc, TFS1, 1.6 RR.

stock bottom end. 93 octane.

I heard from a good source that 17 degrees is definately doable, even 18.

I am running 15 right now and i think 18 would net me a good power increase. What are you guys running out there with those heads?

Believe it or not, on my dad's 93LX with the AFR 165 heads he actually ran his best et's with timing at 13 degrees. We tried the setting anywhere from 12-17 and it ran the best at 13 with these heads. More timing isn't always better.

i have seen some cars run as high as 22 degrees .........and some that would ping at around 10.........its all in your cars combo. Put a light on it, set it up till it pings then back it down until it doesnt anymore under load. then as lucky suggested......play around with it and see how it does....you may actually like something less than maximum!
good luck
Jack
