hardest part is putting the belt on lol. Nah, I thought it was real easy, just be in no hurry. No time for mistakes here.

Performance: Can't beat it. I've had nitrous and a blower now, while I do love both, I love the anytime power of the vortech.

Plus, they sounds really freakin' cool! Go ahead, and wake that GT up!

i absolutly love my v1...some people hate the noise it makes and i understand that but i just get hard everytime i fire my car up and take off. if you can hold a wrench i feel you can install it and they are very safe for stock motors like mine because the ease into the boost unlike roots style blowers. i wouldn't have it any other way.......except more power but i need forged motor for that

I'm running an SQ and I like it. I used to have a Procharger, I loved the loud gear whine but it did get old after a while. The SQ still has an audible whistle and the typical car guy will know your blown when your car is heard. I say go for it. It's definitley a kick in your pants you will have to get used to. Just make sure you upgrade all supporting cast members, fuel pump, injectors etc.

I second the motion for more power!

It does break 'em loose and I love the feeling of the boost coming on as your climb through the power band. Don't forget to get the best tune you possible can, it makes a HUGE difference, especially with it's street manors.

400hp is no problem with some kind of cooling. I personally went with meth/water but a FMIC is awesome as well, preference there. Some make 400+ with the stock pulley and others with a 10# pulley. Also depends on the dyno your on.

well it would break all but 4th, but at that speed, I'm not looking forward to "breaking loose".

Although the 305/35/18 nitto dr's sure do help

I heart traction.

I have a non intercooled s-trim making 350rwhp and 355lbs of tq and absolutely love it. I recomend you take it to a shop to have it properly tuned as vortech is known for pig rich afr's once you get into boost. you will be grinning ear to ear the first time you get on it.

Yes. I pieced my kit togeather so I had to have it dyno tuned. I probably would have made a little more HP if the temps werent in the upper 90s. But I am happy with it considering that I have no real exaust mods and was running the standard 3.6in pulley.

Taping the oil pan isnt hard its just gut wrenching, especially once its done and you see just how big the hole is. Just make sure you double check your measurements so you tap the pan in the right place. Also take your sweet time so you dont screw anything up. Once you start opening the hole constantly check it with the tap to make sure you dont go to big, the tap should just barely and I mean barely fit when you start taping. Make sure you get a NPT tap (national pipe thread). you can find them at plumbing stores. You will also need a big punch.

N2000 > S-trim. A lot more head room and it sounds like a jet engine.
