performance chip question

quick question about performance chips for the 4.6l. if someone has a 2002 mustang gt, could they use the same performance chip used in a 97 cobra? both 5spd.. does it matter which chip it is?

NO!! The 4V has different injectors, computer, redline, etc. Make sure you get a chip that is made for your application.

thanks for the timely reply. i was having a conversation with my friend and found out that someone we knew totalled his 97 cobra. he was alright. he had a chip, pulleys, shifter, x pipe and catback.. and we were wondering what parts could be interchangable.
