pertronix igniter gone bad?
Installed an electric fan. Started up fine.Then shut it down to clean up the wires & some other tests. when I tried to start back up, it just cranks. Tried variously times for a hour. Doesn't catch. Just cranks. Even put some gas in the tank in case it was empty. No change. Doesn't seem to be getting spark. I removed the plug wire going at the Distributor that is coming from the coil & cranked. No spark seen with the lights off in the garage. I assume at night it should be pretty obvious. I am not sure but I may have left the ignition on for a little while. If thats the case maybe the pertronix igniter overheated? Anyone know how I can test the module?
I have a Msd Blaster coil hooked up to switch 12v. Bypassed the resistor wire. I do have 12v to the coil with ign switch on. Engine grounds are tight & secure.
