Progress Thread Pete is checking out these valve covers

I know your frustration. Try to keep in mind that it's small projects and walk away for a bit when you get aggravated.
I know tomorrow am I will take it apart again. Comes apart easy. Working on my car is good therapy for me. What I dont like is taking off my shroud and the fan. That :poo: drives me crazy lining everything up. And money !!! This hobby costs money boys. Drip, drip,

Yes I need the tool. Is it the kind thats like a coupler. It goes around the flange with two pieces and a band goes around that. My list does get bigger with small stuff too. But I am very happy in general. I have a few things things that are larger fixes , but my car is in no way plagued

What a time putting this pulley on and off. I would be lost without my steel pipe breaker bar .Took forever to get it off with the twenty dollar HF puller. Putting the pulley back on the pieces fused together on the HF tool. So , its two days old and I called to ask if they take it back and the lady said yes. Why not get another.while I was at it I put my fuel gauge on. Nice to join the big boys with a fuel pressure gauge. .........I destroy tools with my impatience. I was doing my ball joints and got the tool from Advanced. I twisted that tool and stripped those threads so bad. They didnt charge me for it..very surprised

I have been working on this stupid pulley for hours. Breaking sockets, breaking the tool. WTF. I hope I never have to deal with this crap anytime soon. Cant help but feel defeated 1/16 th to go. got to go get a 1/2 socket. the LMR pulley is far better than stock, heavier, and high edges, and shiny powdercoat. Want to drive and see if my fuei pressure gauge works

Finally on the road again after three weeks. Running very good minus air conditioning. Clutch adjustment is helping a lot. It was slipping at high rpm.

My fuel pressure is steady at 27 lbs. Now what to do.?? It does not start immediatly like it used to , It also bucks quite a bit down low. Could it be time to drop the tank-sucks. And buy a pump 150lb-sucks

I can't speak to your fuel problem, but I can tell you that dropping the tank really isn't that bad as long as it's almost empty.

Have you checked the regulator, some are adjustable or you may smell fuel in the vac line and you have a bad regulator.
Another reason would be the rubber fuel line between the pump and the outlet tube inside the tank is split.
You can drain the tank using the diagnostic port.
Look in the tech/how to thread for how to do this.
Give me some of youz guyz readings with all stock regulator and 19lbs
32-34 engine running vacuum line on.
42-44ish with engine running vacuum line off.
