So my project 1990 GT 'Vert is almost out of the shop having its complete drivetrain rebuilt. Suspension, brakes, T5 conversion, 8.8 rebuild, full engine tune-up... yadda yadda...

Now its time to start tackling the rest of the car. It needs full interior, complete respray, new top, new lights, new weatherstriping...etc.. What order should i tackle the next steps in?

I was thinking:

1. paint/exterior
2. interior
3. top

I'm debating on whether the top should be replaced before i start working on the interior? I'll be adding a styling bar so should i wait to install that after the top? or does it make a difference?

PS: Little trim bits here and there are seriously adding up :(

I don't think the order of the top/interior matters much. You definitely want to do the paint first, though. If you do the top after the paint, then you might have more room maneuvering inside the car while putting the top on. The top shouldn't get in the way of the interior installation at all. Good luck!
